I love the way the kids look all dressed up with excitement and anticipation in their eyes...it THRILLS me to see their little expressions when they get some kind of sugary treat!

Now, I hope you enjoy looking at these pictures as much as I loved taking them. Happy Halloween to all and to all a wonderful night!(:

Cul-de-sac Party

Every year we have a little cul-de-sac party for the kids on the surrounding streets on trick or treat night. We have LOTS of kids on these streets which means we always have such a great turnout for the party. This year was no exception! Wow! There are TONS of kids around here...which is wonderful!
I'm so glad my kids get to grow up with all these cuties! We are very lucky! Just check out the group photo! See for yourself. We had a ball eating pizza before trick or treating and just socializing...which is always fun!(: Man...these are the days!

Also, I left out so many other precious neighbors...please forgive me. Joe was about to kill me for taking so many pictures!(:

Mally and Claire's Halloween Parties at Parkway

Mally and Claire really had fun at their Halloween parties yesterday at school. They had fun dressing up and eating all kinds of goodies! They both have the cutest little classmates in their classes so I had to get pictures of them, too! Enjoy!

My Little Pumpkin

My step mom, Diane, gave Claire the sweetest little pumpkin onesie. It is so soft and cute I put it on her after her bath tonight. It comes with a little hat and Claire LOVES hats! She was in heaven wearing it and I know she will be warm and toasty tonight in her crib. Mally was a little jealous so she went and put on her Halloween t-shirt. I had to take a picture of her to you know.(:
Kimbell, once again, was staying out of camera range.(:
Thank you Nana...we love and miss you!

Claire's Ugg Boots

OK, first I want to say that I did not buy these Ugg boots for Claire bear. My mom did. Claire's grandmother. Enough said, right?? Secondly, they REALLY do look so cute on her chubby little legs so I had to grab up the camera and take a picture when she was running around in them today. I love little feet pictures...I want to remember them being that little always.(:

A "Wicked" Play!

Really...what a wonderfully "Wicked" musical! Molly, Holly, Amanda, and I all went to Atlanta this past Saturday to The Fox to see the play Wicked. It was absolutely wonderful! I'm really so jealous because Holly is going next week to see it again in NY! We had a blast eating dinner without kids, talking without being interrupted by kids, and sleeping late not worrying about kids...it was sooo nice!(:
I highly recommend seeing the play if you have the opportunity. The cast were super talented and the storyline is just fabulous!
I have to mentioned something about the last picture. We were staying at a hotel about 2 miles from The Fox so we took a cab there and expected to get one when we got out. When the play was over we looked, but no cabs were to be found so we started walking...in 4 inch heels! We had done about 1/2 a mile when we spotted this super nice policeman. He was so very nice to call his partner and give us a ride to the hotel. So Amanda shot a photo of us in the back of the police car. I also got to call Joe and tell him I was in a police car and it was all Holly's fault! Isn't everything though...JK, Holly! Again, you know we love you! Have a blast in NY!

Elizabeth's Diaper Shower

We had a great Sunday afternoon celebrating at Elizabeth White's diaper shower at my house. It was a little neighborhood gathering that ended up being so much fun! I always think the best reason to celebrate is when a new little life is about to come into the world so I love having baby showers at my house! And.....I really can't wait to see this new little redheaded neighbor arrive. I had fun making a little diaper wreath and cake that turned out cute and Amanda, Barclay, and Elizabeth G. did a wonderful job with the desserts! Yum!
Elizabeth and Travis, Congratulations again...we love yal!

My REAL and UNREAL Halloween decorations

I decorated the house not too long ago with some silhouettes I made out of black poster board. My sitter walked up a couple of days later to the front porch and told me she loved what I had done to the house and she especially loved the big spider I hung by the door. It really looked real! I was completely confused...see I didn't hang any spider...I hate spiders!
There it was about the size of my palm a yellow and black spider by the front door! Kimbell said it's a Banana spider...whatever that is...and it won't hurt anyone. I took a picture of it for you to see. It definitely adds to the Halloween decorations..don't ya think!(: Yikes!

A book review for you!

I wanted to recommend a book to you in the spirit of Halloween. It's the book, The Heretic's Daughter. I just finished reading it and recommend it if you are in the mood for a history lesson on the Salem Witch Trails. Which I know isn't for everyone! It really was eye opening for me and absolutely horrible what people, especially women, had to endure during the late 1600's.

The author is an actual descendant of a family who eventually was charged with witchcraft. She studied the trails and came upon tons of letters and history logs concerning her family. What's sad is that most of these women that were charged were Christian ladies who were for one reason or another misunderstood or not liked in their community.

It's a fast read and definitely keeps your attention. The book also teaches you a little about love, sacrifice, and the family bond we share with each other. It does have a real heart warming side to it so get out some tissues.

Mally's Wellies

When mom and I went to the beach we bought the girls some matching clothes and wellies...rain boots! We thought they were adorable! See she had a pair last year with cherries on them and literally wore them everyday with everything!
Whew! Those things stunk so bad after a few months! I just have to find some kind of shoe powder for her because she seems to like these just as much as her cherry ones!
FYI- She gets the stinky feet from daddy not me!(:
