Morning Sunshine!

That's actually the title of the book I'm reading by Robin Meade host on HLN's Morning Express. I know, I know...the enemy right?! But, she's pretty good! I got introduced to her in the mornings and got completely hooked! I really like her! The book is about building your self confidence/self esteem back...if you lost it OR gaining it if you never even had any to begin with. It's been a funny and interesting book so far.
It caught MY attention when I first heard about it cause just look at her...former Ms. Ohio...how could SHE have ever had low self esteem or lack confidence...hmmm?? I thought to myself...let's see! Come to find out she has a constant desire for cheesecake just like me!! Plus don't we all want to radiate confidence!
The book has a lot of handy tips about building your esteem and some funny true life happenings that happen to Robin throughout her career that make you realize she IS human. I do recommend it!
Besides, don't you want to find out who Sunshine is??
Go get it...it may change your life!

An old house...beautiful!

Man playing a violin....he was super talented I must say.

Sweet singers...notice the UA and AU hats!

The house in the movie Midnight in the Garden of Good and Evil

Pub fun! It's the one Julia Roberts stands outside of while in her PJ's watching her cheating hubbie....too funny!

The steeple the feather floats down from in Forrest Gump.

Just another beautiful house.

The Ole Pirates house...supposedly haunted.

Beautiful Cathedral!!

Old cemetery

Notice the headstones along the wall. Yankees stayed there and destroyed the cemetery. They didn't know where to put the headstones when rebuilding so they lined them up against the wall.

The soldiers also messed up some of the headstones. Changing dates and ages of the deceased.
Just wanted to share some photos from out trip to Savannah. It was beautiful and never a dull moment! So much to see and do! Hope I can go back one day.
Enjoy!

Veterans Day... Our heros, My hero.

Picture of dad in the old days as a pilot in the Air Force.
Dad with Will and Kimbell.

Honoring the Air Force veterans.

Wrights Mill Road choir...they did an excellent job!

A poem to remember.

Dad receiving his medal from the boys.

Okay, I know I cry easy, but today Kimbell and Will presented my dad with a handmade medal in honor of Veterans day and him being a retired Colonel in the Air Force. I was so very proud! I cried like a baby! He IS my hero you know. I'm so very blessed to be able to call him my father.

I also wanted to recognize this day because of all the troops who not only have served, but who are now serving us. How lucky are we to live here in this wonderful place of freedom thanks to them! We are truly blessed!

Thank you!

Great and easy Halloween Gifts!

The moon pie owls.
Great teachers gift!

Who doesn't like cupcakes?? Add a lil personal touch....

...and there ya go! A great and inexpensive...EASY teacher's present for Halloween.

Must admit...this year I haven't been as into Halloween as usual. Just have so much going on and the poor girls came down with pink eye and have been out of school most of the week. Mally since last Wednesday! Whew!

Wanted to make these precious moon pie owls, but ran out of time...they're in Southern Living magazine. So I opted for an easy, but cute Halloween present for their teachers. I found these darling premixes for cupcakes, cookies, and even brownies and just added a little personally touch to them. Thought they turned out cute! Wanted to share in case someone is last minute looking for an easy gift.

Happy Halloween!!!

My Little Sleeping Beauty

Mally at a princess party as Sleeping Beauty.
My Sleeping Beauty!

Mally has had an new obsession...her name is, Sleeping Beauty. Everything she wants has to do with Sleeping Beauty...it's really so sweet. One day when she crashed I had to snag a picture of MY lil sleeping beauty...isn't she a beauty though.
Aren't they just so lovable when they're resting?? Well, at least for a moment.... then they wet the couch, step on a Lego while running to the bathroom, and fall into the toilet!
Well, that precious moment was nice while it lasted.
LOL, gotta love them!

Lil nose in da corner

The family was eating dinner last night at Block and Barrel just enjoying ourselves when Claire started pitching an absolute fit over something. We were about the only ones in the restaurant so Joe...just kidding.... told Claire to go stand in the corner. It was so funny at the time cause she hopped right up and proceeded to place her nose there. Guess, she's been told to do it before! We couldn't help but laugh at her....she was so serious. I had to get a picture so I took one with the iPhone real quick.
Good times I tell ya!

Claire's big girl bed!
Mally's big girl bed!

Both their BIG GIRL BEDS!!!

I'm so happy to announce that I FINALLY have both my girls sleeping UPSTAIRS in their BIG GIRL beds!!! Yippee! They absolutely LOVE their new beds and love sleeping upstairs together in their new big girl room. I bought some butterfly lights that we turn on at bedtime. They get so excited about them...it's so cute!
Mommy loves it too because she can get some good rest without two little blonds pushing her off her side of the bed.(: All is right with the world today. Oh, excuse the picture quality...my camera is STILL on the outs. I took these with my iPhone.

Happy Sunday!

So very proud!

I wanted to do a brief post about how very proud I am of Kimbell. I have always spoken about how easygoing a child he is, but I just wanted to brag a tad bit more...hope ya don't mind.
Today at school they had there Boosterthon Fun Run. Shame on me for not taking pictures...my camera is messed up, but I did make him a sign...thanks, Holly, for the poster board. Anyway, he ran his little tail off and had a smile on his face the entire time! It just cracked me up! I just thought to myself what an easy, fun, happy child he is.
I had two parents approach me...who I didn't even know.... and talk about how their child adores him. It was so very complimentary and sweet! I also learned he got picked out of his class for Student Council and he got a letter inviting him to join the enrichment program at school! I tell ya....I'm one THRILLED momma right now!
Thanks, Kimbell, for being SO darn easy all the time. I am so lucky to have you! Thanks for putting up with us!
I love you tons!

Enthusiasm

I read this on my friend, Tiffany's blog, and fell in love with it. She was nice enough to let me copy it...thanks Tiffany! Hope it touches you in some way like it did me.

Find your enthusiasm

What is it that excites you, and gets you fired up in a positive way, and makes it impossible for you to sit still?
Whatever it is, fill your awareness with it.
Bright, sparkling, delicious enthusiasm will get you going in a powerful, purposeful direction. Enthusiasm will keep you going strong even when nothing seems to be going your way.
There's something, some goal, some dream, some intrinsic purpose that will put you in a state of irrepressible enthusiasm. Get busy, find it and connect with it because when you do your effectiveness will skyrocket.
Let yourself dream your biggest, most wonderful and fulfilling dreams. Then reach in, grab the very essence of those dreams and you'll have a handful of priceless enthusiasm.
The best that you can imagine is already within you. So bring it to the surface and let it positively infect your whole world.
Find your own unique, joyful and powerful enthusiasm. And let it carry you to magnificent places

Isn't it so true?! Enthusiasm keeps me going everyday....how about you?

I did it! I did it!

I made my first quiche EVER! Sounds simple right? Well, it is.... BUT THIS IS A HUGE stepping stone for me because I'm really not a good cook or should I say....what I cook isn't good!(: The quiche was delicious though! The fam ate it up! I didn't even have to force them to like usual.
It was a ham, spinach, and cheese quiche from Cooking Light. Lots of protein and little fat. Super yumo and good for you. I'm really so proud of myself...... this has opened a door for me....maybe I'll be the next Julia Child??? Well, I know that's a little much, but I can dream, right??

I'm really working on eating healthy and Cooking Light has some great recipes. Check it out at www.cookinglight.com

Well, they really did show, but just asked us to calm it down a tad. They were just jealous cause they weren't invited! Anyway, thank you to Stacy and Kevin. We had a great time and are so very proud of your awesome success! Keep up the hard work, guys..it's definitely paying off!

A Wedding with the Velcro Pygmies???

Molly, me, and Amy
The Grooms Cake!

Photo opt with the Velcro Pygmies!!! Woohoo!

Cameron the lead singer.

Woohoo! Play it, Angel!
The grandmother of the bride sang...Summer of 69! Hilarious!
Serenading the bride.

The view I saw when looking back from the front row of the stage.

Yes...you read the title right. We attended a wedding reception last night that had the band, Velcro Pygmies singing those famous Poison, Prince, Bryan Adams, and Journey songs. They were hilarious and very personable with the audience cracking us up the whole time! All in all, it was a blast.... to say the least! The reception was beautiful and the bride and groom( Amanda and Logan) were too cute and SO in love.

We got our picture taken with the VP...after I dragged Molly and Amy over there...they were SO embarrassed! We also stood in front the whole time dancing and singing like fools!

The wedding was the daughter of one of the cardiologist Joe works with, Dr. Davis. Thank you for the invite, Dr. Davis...it was beautiful and we had a ball.

If you want to check out the Velcro Pygmies site go to http://www.velcropygmies.com/

Mally with Rosy....such a little lady.
Where's Rosy?

Well, so far so good...I think we have a winner here! Rosy has been a complete joy and wonderful new addition to our household. She sleeps in her crate like a big girl all night and rarely has accidents inside. She has a calm and sweet disposition and is great with the girls. We are lucky to have her and look forward to many many more years with her around!
We love you Rosy Posy!

Victory...yeah right...Land!

Molly, me, and Rona
Hey girls...let's dis this place and head to Bonefish Grill!
Let me pick my dog first...how about Pole Star??
Sounds interesting.

Okay....here comes the wishbone!!

Okay, that's pretty much how our trip to Victory Land went. We( the girls) were there a total of 5 minutes when we all looked up from our table and had the same thought...let's head to Bonefish Grill!! So we totally left the guys there...to eat and bet and we went to Bonefish Grill for some yummy drinks and food.

We picked them up 2 hours later. Joe was fast asleep at the table...it was WAY past his bedtime! Just kidding. LOL Needless to say I was glad to head home and wash the smoke away in some bath suds.
Oh, and Pole Star didn't win.):

Would you like to be...

... here? Or maybe....

...here? Or even...
... here?? I would!

I think I could even be completely happy being at any of these tropical paradises by myself! Yep! Totally alone. Well, maybe not totally alone. I enjoy people watching and listening to music too much to be totally alone, but you know what I mean. Just the thought sounds like music to my ears. I think I am somewhat of a loner at heart.(:
I guess, having three precious kids, a husband, sweet neighborhood children, and a new puppy around a lot makes you dream of laying on a tropical beach with your toes in the water. Booty in the sand...not a worry in the world with a fruity drink in your hand. LOL Want to come join me?? Too bad!

Life is good! Correction...great! Dream hard, right?!
