My New Boa Hat!

Claire looks real happy doesn't she.
Mally

My mom got Claire and Mally the most precious Boa hats for Christmas. I think she found them in Destin. It reminded me of the 1940's. The way the women wore those cute hats with the big flower on the side....so sweet! I watched The Notebook for the 100th time last night and Allie, one of the main characters, had one on! Who knows...maybe hats are coming back. I lov'em!

Bailey in Laura's wedding dress and Mally

Claire

At the Dyas family Christmas this year Aunt Laura went overboard for the girls. She gave them all kinds of girlie goodies that they absolutely loved! I took some pictures with Joe's cell. Excuse the quality of the photos...not the best, but I had to capture these precious moments. Bailey went and put on Laura's wedding dress for fun...I guess us girls never out grow dress-up!
Hope everyone had a very Merry Christmas!

We've got Annie!!

Last night the fam headed to the OPAC to see, Annie. It's a traveling theatre show....I think from NYC, and they were great! The little actress that played Annie was super talented! That girl could dance and sing like nothing I had ever seen before! The orphans were precious, too!

We took Mally and Kimbell. Mally sat at the edge of her seat clapping her little hands at the end of every performance...it was so cute. We had rented the movie this past weekend and she watched it maybe 20 times. It was a great musical. I'm so glad we went.(:

Our visit with Santa

We headed to the mall Friday to see Santa. Kimbell went with us since he had stayed home to go to the doctor about his eye...he had a little incident at school and ended up with an abrasion on it and a patch.
They were all great...with the exception of Claire who wasn't about to sit in his lap! She would wave and flirt, but no way sit in his lap! I highly recommend heading out there. Santa really took some time with them asking what they want and was super sweet. He does need to put on some lbs though!

What was I thinking??

I had to post about this little incident to explain a couple things. First, I have noticed throughout the past couple of weeks that my Christmas cards have been returning to me in the mail. This really has confused me because I put everything on them that should be..... the mailing address, the return address, and the stamp all there. WELL, after finally getting my 10th one back I knew I had to reevaluate the situation.

I'm standing at the mailbox yesterday, dumbfounded about another one being returned when it hit me! I had been putting the stamp ON THE LEFT SIDE OF THE ENVELOP INSTEAD OF THE RIGHT!!! How crazy funny is that!!

SOOO if you haven't received a Christmas card yet hold tight. It may be next month, but it's coming your way. Oopsy.(:

Does this make me a TRUE blond??

Jingles the Elf

Jingles the Elf in our little present tree....we have a tree for little presents and a tree for
big presents.
Last year, Jingles came to visit us over the Christmas holiday. He watches over the kids and reports back to Santa. He looks like a stuffed doll during the day, but at night comes alive and gets into all kinds of mischief! Well, this year he didn't return from the NP. We were wondering where he was. It was two weeks into December!!! So....
....Kimbell wrote a letter to Santa and found out he had had an awful accident while returning to Auburn from the NP and broke his leg!! He wouldn't be coming this year.): Kimbell was soooo upset for Jingles...not himself which really surprised me.

Well, Jingles HAS returned...with his leg all wrapped up to prove it! Notice the cast in the first photo.

Kimbell is thrilled and I am thrilled!! He's funnier than ever this year!

I just had to share our precious story with you. I know a lot of moms are dealing with the elves this year and they bring such joy to our lives most of the time don't they??

MC!

A Christmas Carol

Kimbell being Kimbell

Yum! Meatballs!!
Me and Joe

Cheese!!!
Last night, we went to see A Christmas Carol in Montgomery at ASF. It was a delightful play...as always that we all enjoyed. We left Auburn early to go eat at Bonefish Grill. It was yummy!! I think Kimbell especially enjoyed that one getting the traditional spaghetti and meatballs.(: Then we headed off to the play where we enjoyed hot chocolate during the intermission. I definitely recommend the play to you. It just puts you in that Christmas spirit. I'm glad we went again this year. Hey, this may turn out to be a little family tradition! I know Joe will be thrilled!!(:
