Spirit Day at PKWY!

Just wanted to share some photos from Spirit day at Parkway. The kids had a ball.....the parents were worn out! That just about sums it up! My favorite photo is the one where Mally and her friends are walking up to see Aubie and they're holding on to each other for dear life!!!! It was hilarious!

Soccer Tournament in Dothan..... Whew!

We had a soccer tournament in Dothan yesterday. It was fun of course, but also EXHAUSTING for the little ones. We actually had Becky, our sitter, keep Claire at home, but took Mally. We started out with a bang...literally...we had a flat tire! Now, Joe says he knows how to change one, BUT we opt to take my mom's car instead.(:

Kimbell did great and scored 1 out of 3 goals for the second game...the first game was a little slow for everyone. It was sooo hot, too! We're all a little burned. Will's team did great and won both games! Go Will! Did I mention it was HOT!?

Anyway, glad to be back in Auburn. War Eagle!

The Cast is Off!!!!

After 5 weeks, the brace is off! As most of you know this is the third contraption that has been on Mally's little left arm since she broke it. She has had two casts (pink and blue) and a splint. When she went today to get it looked at by her MD they took an x-ray and you can actually see where it was broken and healed.

I didn't realize that is was such a bad break. We are lucky to have only had it on 5 weeks...I guess it's all the milk she drinks!(: It DOES do the body good! She still guards it...I guess out of habit, but I am so glad she is happy and healed! Yippee!

BTW- It must be something going around our street because she is the third child in a couple months to break an arm. Manning, we're thinking about you. Get better soon.

Mally's Oil Painting

My mom had an oil painting done of Mally in Destin. The finished results are beautiful! We both cried when we saw it. It amazes me that someone can do such a marvelous work of art! I know this piece will be in our family forever....when I'm long gone!! Mally kept saying "That's me, Marme!!!" She's going to keep it for now...I feel it's way to fancy for my house.(:

We want to do one of Claire on the beach next year and Kimbell ASAP! He's growing up so fast! If anyone wants to know who did it just let me know...I don't have all the details, but I know it took a while to finish. It was such a wonderful surprise for me...I will be eternally grateful!(:

Good Times with Friends!

Last night, some of us around the neighborhood went out to eat Mexican at Laredo's. It was a fun night of course and it was nice to sit and chat with friends. We have all been so busy we haven't had a chance to get together in awhile. It seems like more and more friends are coming to join us....which is wonderful! I feel blessed to live in such a social neighborhood!(: We may have to rent a place before the years out!!!

Does the second day of school photos count???

I got photos from the girls second day of school at Parkway due to STILL not being able to find my digital camera. Am I still a bad mom? They did great going in and seem to like their new classes. Parkway preschool is right around the corner and has been a true blessing for us.

My New Look!

How awesome is my new blog! I was wanting a new look and my good friend ,Amanda ,did a little pimping. Didn't she do a wonderful job!!! I am so amazed at how cute she made it in no time at all! Our Soccer Star!!!!

As most of you know Kimbell made the traveling soccer team, Auburn Thunder. We are so proud of him because he is considered the ''baby" on the team with most players being 9,10, and 11 years of age. He actually just turned 8 in June! He has been playing so well even though it's MUCH different than the rec league since you are playing positions. It has been a change, but he has taken it in stride and managed to score almost every game...he has even been the head scorer in one!
We played in Newnan, GA. last weekend and outside Peachtree City, GA. this weekend. It is time consuming and exhausting, but oh so fun!!! Any ho, I will keep ya posted on any turn of events. I posted some photos from his first traveling game. Doesn't he look cute in his soccer uniform!(:

The Big Blue Band Aid!

I wanted to post a picture of Mally with her little cast. Yes, it is blue now because she could slide the hot pink one off! Yes, off! She got this one yesterday afternoon. She's doing VERY well. Hopefully, this one will stay put and she will only have 3 weeks with it on. Thanks for all the calls of concerns and the little treats and presents she has received...I sure do have a wonderful group of family and friends!(:

The Big Pink Band Aid!

O.K...so who new when Mally took a little fall off the swing set that she BROKE HER ARM! I couldn't believe it! We were right there and she barely cried. It wasn't even swollen or bruised! I started noticing that she wasn't using it and she somewhat guarded it the rest of the night.

The next morning I knew something wasn't right so we took her for an x-ray and before we got home they had called to tell us it was broken. She has been such a big sport...the only time she cried during the whole process was when it first happen!

She has the smallest, pinkest cast I have ever seen! She calls it her " Big Pink Band Aid". Anyways, keep her and her healing in your thoughts and prayers.(: All h_ _ is going to break out when she realizes she can't take it off!(:

How very excited I am for Kimbell starting the 2nd grade! I can't believe it! I tell ya...time flies! I stole this picture from my friend, Amanda's blog. She was a very good friend and took a picture for us because my digital camera is MIA. I'm sure the girls have something to do with it! Anyway, congrats, Kimbell!
