Last night, a bunch of us went to eat dinner at Amsterdam for my friend, Holly's birthday. Her actual birthday was Monday, but all we needed was a nice reason to get together for her. We had a great time having a little break from all of summers craziness! You know what I mean...the pool, the kids, the heat, the running around to camps, and last but not least....the "I'm Bored" statements. You mommies know what I mean. Ugh! Is it time to start school, yet?? Okay, back to the main subject...what was it, oh yeah,

...Holly, I hope you had a really good time and a wonderful birthday! You deserve it, girl!

Our neighbors, The Lightfoots, had a Thank You/Welcome Home party next door yesterday. We all had a ball! Really, what's better than friends, food, guitar playing/singing, and water slides?? I don't think my kids have played that hard and had that much fun in a very long time. They started playing around 4...Kimbell at 12... and didn't go in until 9. I had to drag them in, too. They were in heaven!

Dale and Lynn really out did themselves with tons of food and fun! The big kids had a huge water slide to play on and they got a dinosaur jumpy thing for the little ones. The adults were serenaded with some great music to close out the night. We even survived Dale's singing! JK(:

LF's-We're so glad you're here with us in Auburn even if for a short while. You brought us memories we will never forget.

Rod's 40th surprise party was a huge hit! He had no idea that his friends and family had all gotten together to surprise him at Zazus...... Molly really pulled this one off! The Big Jump!

My little fishy.

Mally just finished her two week swimming lesson program with Mr. Luke at Moores Mill pool. She did an excellent job and learned a lot. She is actually swimming on and off now! Her and her little friend, Katie were so cute. Their favorite part was splashing Mr. Luke and getting him all wet.....oh, and the candy they got when they finished. Yum!

I'm so proud of her....
