Cookie Swap 2008!
OK, can you believe I forgot to take pictures last night of my neighborhood cookie swap!? I did..... so I posted my plate after picking from 17 kinds of delicious cookies that my friends/neighbors made. I had a wonderful turnout last night. Thanks again to everyone who came...we may make this a yearly thing so save your tins girls!
Special thanks to Holly for singing(: and rocking my Claire bear to sleep. Thanks to Heather for bringing cookies by the house even though you had a million things going on. That meant a lot.(:
Many more thanks to Brandy and Amanda for coming early to help set up. A big thank you to all of Waldrop Circle for coming.... that made my day!
A HUGE thank you to ALL of my wonderful friends and neighbors for all their HARD BAKNG! It was tons of fun... I will never forget it!

We've got Annie!!
We took Mally and Kimbell. Mally sat at the edge of her seat clapping her little hands at the end of every performance...it was so cute. We had rented the movie this past weekend and she watched it maybe 20 times. It was a great musical. I'm so glad we went.(:

Our visit with Santa
We headed to the mall Friday to see Santa. Kimbell went with us since he had stayed home to go to the doctor about his eye...he had a little incident at school and ended up with an abrasion on it and a patch.

What was I thinking??
I had to post about this little incident to explain a couple things. First, I have noticed throughout the past couple of weeks that my Christmas cards have been returning to me in the mail. This really has confused me because I put everything on them that should be..... the mailing address, the return address, and the stamp all there. WELL, after finally getting my 10th one back I knew I had to reevaluate the situation.
I'm standing at the mailbox yesterday, dumbfounded about another one being returned when it hit me! I had been putting the stamp ON THE LEFT SIDE OF THE ENVELOP INSTEAD OF THE RIGHT!!! How crazy funny is that!!
SOOO if you haven't received a Christmas card yet hold tight. It may be next month, but it's coming your way. Oopsy.(:
Does this make me a TRUE blond??

Jingles the Elf
Last year, Jingles came to visit us over the Christmas holiday. He watches over the kids and reports back to Santa. He looks like a stuffed doll during the day, but at night comes alive and gets into all kinds of mischief! Well, this year he didn't return from the NP. We were wondering where he was. It was two weeks into December!!! So....
....Kimbell wrote a letter to Santa and found out he had had an awful accident while returning to Auburn from the NP and broke his leg!! He wouldn't be coming this year.): Kimbell was soooo upset for Jingles...not himself which really surprised me.
Well, Jingles HAS returned...with his leg all wrapped up to prove it! Notice the cast in the first photo.
Kimbell is thrilled and I am thrilled!! He's funnier than ever this year!
I just had to share our precious story with you. I know a lot of moms are dealing with the elves this year and they bring such joy to our lives most of the time don't they??

A Christmas Carol
Kimbell being Kimbell
Me and Joe
Last night, we went to see A Christmas Carol in Montgomery at ASF. It was a delightful play...as always that we all enjoyed. We left Auburn early to go eat at Bonefish Grill. It was yummy!! I think Kimbell especially enjoyed that one getting the traditional spaghetti and meatballs.(: Then we headed off to the play where we enjoyed hot chocolate during the intermission. I definitely recommend the play to you. It just puts you in that Christmas spirit. I'm glad we went again this year. Hey, this may turn out to be a little family tradition! I know Joe will be thrilled!!(:
