An Indian Pines Thanksgiving.

Mally's class

Class artwork

Mally and Claire

Madelyn and Mally

Mally's class at Indian Pines had a Thanksgiving feast the other day with lots of food and fun! I brought Claire and she was in heaven with all the older children giving her lots of attention. They had some precious artwork on display and all the kids wore little Indian and Pilgrim hats. They were too cute. Made me miss teaching.

Happy Turkey Day!

We had a great lunch today at my house for Thanksgiving. My dad's side was in town and we quickly pulled it together. It was suppose to be at my dad's lake condo, but his water was off due to construction so I said..Come on folks! We celebrated Mally's birthday...it's actually tomorrow...and she got to once again blow out some candles and make a wish. It was lots of fun and we ate WAY too much!
Hope everyone had a great one!

Mally had a really wonderful princess party today. She had some neighbor friends and some sweeties from her class at Indian Pines. They all dressed in their favorite princess gear and came ready to run, jump, climb, eat and play! It was a wonderful turnout and I want to thank everyone for making her day super special!
Happy Birthday Princess!

Morning Sunshine!

That's actually the title of the book I'm reading by Robin Meade host on HLN's Morning Express. I know, I know...the enemy right?! But, she's pretty good! I got introduced to her in the mornings and got completely hooked! I really like her! The book is about building your self confidence/self esteem back...if you lost it OR gaining it if you never even had any to begin with. It's been a funny and interesting book so far.
It caught MY attention when I first heard about it cause just look at her...former Ms. Ohio...how could SHE have ever had low self esteem or lack confidence...hmmm?? I thought to myself...let's see! Come to find out she has a constant desire for cheesecake just like me!! Plus don't we all want to radiate confidence!
The book has a lot of handy tips about building your esteem and some funny true life happenings that happen to Robin throughout her career that make you realize she IS human. I do recommend it!
Besides, don't you want to find out who Sunshine is??
Go get it...it may change your life!

Sweet Savannah!

The River Walk

Savannah riverboat for dining..yumo!

An old house...beautiful!

Man playing a violin....he was super talented I must say.

Sweet singers...notice the UA and AU hats!

The house in the movie Midnight in the Garden of Good and Evil

Pub fun! It's the one Julia Roberts stands outside of while in her PJ's watching her cheating hubbie....too funny!

The steeple the feather floats down from in Forrest Gump.

Just another beautiful house.

The Ole Pirates house...supposedly haunted.

Film maker Robert Redford making magic. Be on the lookout for it!

SCAD students at their best!

Waving Girl signaling the riverboats.

Gotta love police horses!

Joe on the Forrest Gump bench...they kinda look alike...just kidding!

Beautiful Cathedral!!

Old cemetery

Notice the headstones along the wall. Yankees stayed there and destroyed the cemetery. They didn't know where to put the headstones when rebuilding so they lined them up against the wall.

The soldiers also messed up some of the headstones. Changing dates and ages of the deceased.
Just wanted to share some photos from out trip to Savannah. It was beautiful and never a dull moment! So much to see and do! Hope I can go back one day.
Enjoy!
